The political unity of Africa has been an elusive vision.
The United States of Africa premised on Pan-African ideals still remains a pipe dream despite having been pushed by numerous African political leaders. Is the United States of Africa a realistic vision we should continue to pursue or it's still an ambitious dream? The idea that Africa as a continent should have one leader, one currency, amongst other things is one that stemmed from Pan-Africanism.
It has equally been reiterated by the leader of South Africa's Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Julius Malema.
