The Economic Freedom Fighters and their leader, Julius Malema, made a payment of R100 000 to AfriForum.
It's the second payment that the party had to pay the civil rights group as part of a court settlement. The red berets had to cough up another R100 000 and hand it over to AfriForum as the second of 5 cost orders against them.
The EFF was ordered in five different court appearances to pay AfriForum a total amount of about R550 000, according to a report by EWN.AfriForum said the payment that was made on 10 January amounted to R108 960. The first amount paid was R126,703. Briefly.co.za reported earlier that Kallie Kriel of AfriForum shared a screengrab of their bank notifying them that a payment was made into their account.

The three outstanding cost orders will be paid later because two of them must be taxed first and one is subject to an appeal application.
