The pressure on Mampintsha increases as the ruling party and opposition unite to call for his arrest following the posting of a video showing him physically abusing girlfriend Babes Wodumo.
The Economic Freedom Fighters has condemned the actions of the Kwaito star and the organisation is calling for his arrest.In a statement EFF spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi said:"The actions of Mampintsha are repulsive and disgusting.
This happens before Friday 8 March where women around the world will be commemorating International Women's Day which is a focal point for women's rights.” The EFF has called for South Africans to do a public arrest of Mampintsha when they see him and take him to a police station.
The ANC in Gauteng has also expressed outrage over the violence:"We urge Babes Wodumo to lay charges against her abuser,” said Tasneem Motara.DA leader Mmusi Maimane has also called for criminal charges to be a laid against Mampintsha.
