Gigaba congratulates ex-advisor on new Deputy Public Protector post

- President Cyril Ramaphosa recently appointed advocate Kholeka Gcaleka as the new Deputy Public Protector- Malusi Gigaba sent his former employee a shoutout, congratulating her on the new position- Gcaleka previously served as the former Home Affairs Minister's legal adviserAdvocate Kholeka Gcaleka has officially been appointed as South Africa's new Deputy Public reported that Gcaleka's appointment had been announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa who confirmed her seven-year tenor.

Before this, she had served as Minister of Public Service and Administration Senzo Mchunu's adviser but at a stage, she had served under a more controversial figure. While Malusi Gigaba has somewhat faded into obscurity, he was at a stage SA's Home Affairs Minister with Gcaleka tasked with being his legal adviser.
