'Leader' of Alex shutdown is ANCYL member who removed EFF posters

There may well be truth to Joburg Mayor Herman Mashaba's claim that the ANC has 'orchestrated' the Alexandra protests as part of an election tactic.

Political risk analyst, Matlala Setlhalogile, has claimed that the man leading the protests is ANCYL member Kenneth Mgaga, the same man who had been spotted tearing down EFF posters in the township.ANCYL member Kenneth Mgaga was caught red-handed when photos surfaced of him pulling down EFF posters in Alexandra.
