Malema's land grab case postponed until September

Julius Malema’s case, for allegedly contravening the Riotous Assemblies Act, has been postponed to September 9.

Lawyers of the EFF’s Commander in Chief, appeared on his behalf at the Newcastle Magistrate’s Court on Monday (July 8), in connection with remarks he reportedly made at a party rally in Newcastle in June 2016. In response, Malema filed an application with the Pretoria High Court in December, challenging the constitutionality of the laws used to charge him.

EFF members claimed it was an ‘Apartheid-era law’.
