SARS strike continues for a second day

The protestors have a certificate from The Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA), which means that they are engaging in a legal protest.

Eight full buses arrived from the Alberton branch, carrying more than 500 employees at the South African Revenue Services (SARS) head office. The newly appointed SARS boss received a cold welcome from his employees as well as the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).

Commissioner Edward Kieswetter was appointed as the boss of the organisation this week and will be taking over from acting boss Mark Kingon on the 1st of May 2019.
