Scuffles erupt in South African parliament after opposition MPs insult President Zuma (VIDEO)

A handful of red-clad MPs from the far-left Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party were forcibly removed from the parliament chamber in Cape Town after they denounced the country’s leader as a “scoundrel,”“constitutional delinquent” and “rotten to the core.

” The latter insult, thrown by EFF leader Julius Malema, prompted violent scenes of eviction, ordered by Parliament Speaker Baleka Mbete. As can be seen on the video uploaded by RT’s video agency Ruptly, the disgruntled MPs, vastly outnumbered by security staff in black and white uniforms, were rounded up and ejected from the premises.

In one of the most dramatic moments, the guards encircled an EFF lawmaker and literally turned him upside down in an attempt to drag him out by his feet.
